Standards for Recertification

DREs are credentialed for two years by the IACP. They shall be required to renew their certification of continuing proficiency every two years, by their state coordinator. The DRE is recertified for the next two-year period from the DRE’s current expiration date on the date the state coordinator signs the Recertification and Assurances form. On the DRE’s expiration date, the DRE status automatically becomes “expired,” and the DRE is not certified to conduct enforcement evaluations until the status becomes “recertified.”
